“We have a GO for EVA" as guests take on
the role of a an astronaut on EVA or ExtraVehicular Activity.
The goal: to guide the SMU or SAFER jetpack on a mission.
Guests can manually glide along the floor
in a recumbent jetpack as they experience the thrill of
working like an astronaut in space. Guests
will conduct activities like plugging and unplugging “data and
electrical” connectors and turning “electrical current valves”
on and off. The different dexterity
"repair" activities will make clear the principle of
action-reaction: if they don't use hand or foot restraints, when
they push one way, they may go the exact opposite direction!
Guest astronauts try their skills in time
management, visual acuity, dexterity and mobility in this
experience that is both fun and challenging!
